I have used Factoring to fund the cash flow needs of my business for over 8 years. Like many business owners running a small business I was directed to the facility by my bank, as a replacement for my overdraft, but with no choice in terms of the options available.

Factoring has worked for me and does work for my clients, but increasingly the contact with the bank was remote and based more on our ability to follow their rules and procedures, rather than an understanding of the needs of our business. We were simply not able to keep our point of contact within the bank for more than 6 months at a time!
